Alpha Mentorship Program
Alpha, YFC's recruitment mentorship program, aims to prepare high-potential candidates for finance recruitment. It was founded in 2019 by Hamzah Rizvi. Members of Alpha have the opportunity to learn from mentors who have experience in Investment Banking, Asset Management, Private Equity, Commercial Banking, etc. The mentors host insightful recruitment workshops twice a month which provide members with specific knowledge about the various aspects of finance recruitment. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in mock interview sessions covering recent workshops' topics once a month.
Testimonials

My involvement with the Alpha Mentorship Program has been the highlight of my second year at Schulich. From being paired with an insightful mentor to the training programs held, it played a critical role in helping me understand my future in finance, and key in helping me land an internship this summer. I recommend it to everyone interested in finance!

The Alpha Mentorship Program provides a great opportunity to learn about the finance industry and the various fields within it. Through the program, I was able to make meaningful connections with upper-year students to further expand on my network, hone on my interpersonal skills, and ultimately assist me in landing a summer internship.

The Alpha Mentorship Program was one of the most memorable experiences of my first year. The exclusive networking events, bi-weekly workshops, and mentorship provided me with insights into the various careers in finance. The program also served as the impetus behind my summer recruitment success and I recommend anyone interested in finance to join.
