With extensive outreach to alumni networks, YFC's career series strives to offers various industry panels that provide members with information and experience from industry professionals. These panels serve as a catalyst for student - alumni interaction and work to provide insight about industry experiences and career options. 

Virtual Summer Insight Series

August 11th - 20th, 2020

This series will be comprised of 6 virtual sessions hosted by top finance firms including from August 11 to August 20. There will be a short screening process in order to attend. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to learn about various recruitment processes, build relationships with industry professionals, and discover potential career options in Finance. 

Options in Capital Markets

The alumni panel will consist of 5 representatives from various functions including corporate banking, sales and trading and equity research. This is a great opportunity to learn more about capital markets and network with representatives from RBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets, Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets, and Canaccord Genuity. 

Credit Suisse Information Session

BMO Capital Markets Networking Event

BMO Capital Markets would like to invite first and second year students to attend the evening of Tuesday, January 28th for an "Inside the Industry" event at the Downtown Campus. This is an early career education event for Undergraduate students graduating in 2022 & 2023.

The next event in YFC’s Career Series will be a Sales and Trading panel through which Schulich alumni and industry professionals currently working at Scotiabank, RBC, and CIBC will provide insight into the sell-side division of a company. Subsequently, there will be an opportunity for attendees to network with the industry professionals and ask any additional questions that they may have. This event is a great opportunity to learn about a career in S&T and if it is the career for you.
